MSN Search beta

Tableless lay-out, semantic markup, XHTML 1.0 Strict, and only six validation errors (one on the main page and six on a result page). Only one single problem: the CSS won’t validate because of a missing mime type.
That’s definitaly better than Google; 44 errors on their 3 KB large non-tableless main page, and 232 errors on a random search results page. They haven’t even gone through the hassle of putting up a DOCTYPE declaration and a seperate style sheet.

Yep, it’s ridicule how can Google be so broken with a such a small page. All those errors disallow google in a mobile device. They can show the homepage but not the results, and mobile devices are much more permissives this days – a xhtml mobile profile device is able to render a xhtml basic or a not-much-broken html page without any problem.
